At last night’s meeting, Bethany Mendoza was admitted to Active Membership in Moravia Rotary Club. Daughter of former Rotarian Paul Nelson, she was previously an honorary member. While attending MHS, she was a Rotary Youth Leadership Award recipient, a Youth Exchange student to Argentina, and a Rotary scholarship recipient. Following college graduation, she worked for a non-government organization, teaching Spanish in Nicaragua. She is currently a Spanish Teacher at Tyburn Academy in Auburn.
Bethany brings youthful enthusiasm to our club. She is looking forward to participating in our community service activities, and is currently formulating a project that will involve some Tyburn students with Auburn Rotary Club. We are excited to have her join our group of “ordinary people, together doing extraordinary things”.
